Alcântara Café

The Alcântara Café is a bit of a national landmark in Lisbon.  It is situated in an old and originally derelict Printing Factory, which has been transformed into a chic restaurant.  You enter through heavy velvet curtains which are guarded by an impeccably dressed doorman, following the red carpet you enter into a stunning space, which although luxurious has kept the mainframe of industrial architecture.

This is by no means a cheap night out and the food although good may be a little overpriced.  The service though was perfect and all in all we enjoed our evening there.  I will admit that it is quite a long time since I have dined at Alcântara Café, and more recent reviews seem to be very mixed.  If anyone would like to add any thoughts to this review then please contact us.
